Come join the ladies of Delta Phi Chi Military Sorority, Inc., for our Annual Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness 5K Walks. Our 5K’s are held in locations where we have established clusters/chapters to host. Our First Annual 5K was hosted by our members in Killeen, TX., 23 June 2018. Due to this event, Delta Phi Chi received its first Proclamation from the Honorable Jose L. Segarra, Mayor of the City of Killeen, proclaiming June 23, 2018 as Delta Phi Chi Military Sorority, Inc., PTSD Awareness Walk Day. Directly reflecting the success of this event, we were able to donate $800.00 to Central Texas Department of Veterans Affairs, PTSD Clinic.
In 2019, we’ve expanded our 5K Walk to a second state! Our members in Augusta, GA., will be hosting their very first PTSD Awareness walk in addition to Killeen, TX., on 22 June 2019. It’s is our vision, Delta Phi Chi will be able to add an additional state to the roster each year to come!
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder effects up to 20% of all combat veterans. These are invisible wounds that our Sisters/Brothers-in-Arms return home with that commonly go untreated. The members of Delta Phi Chi are on a mission and committed to building a lasting legacy of combating untreated Mental Health diseases, through research, networks and inventions. Help our men and women, serving in our Armed Forces, get the treatment they need by supporting Delta Phi Chi, a Military Sorority in spreading awareness about PTSD and help veterans get the treatment they need.
