Delta Phi Chi Military Sorority, Inc., awards scholarships in recognition of academic excellence and financial need.  Each year outstanding young women are able to continue their education because of the generosity of our Founder, Members and Donors who contribute to existing scholarships or establish new ones.

AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIPS:

Phoenix Scholarship:

Established in 2018 by Founder Jennifer Berry. The STEM is the academic subjects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Though these are fields typically dominated by men, Founder Berry felt the need to offer scholarships to encourage women for pursuing a career in STEM Field. The goal is to recognize the critical role of girls and women in the STEM Communities. It is also vital to remember women who have made significant advances in the STEM fields.

Amount: $500.00

The requirements to apply for Delta Phi Chi's Phoenix Scholarship are as follows:

  • Be a graduating senior who will major in one of the following academic fields: Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Have a parent who is currently serving in the United States Armed Forces or a parent whom have served honorably in the past.
  • Plan to attend an accredited college or university.
  • Have an overall 2.5 GPA.
  • Have a financial need.

Application Open Season: 1 March-1 June. Completed application packets must include all of the required materials in a single envelope. Packets must be postmarked or electronically submitted by Friday, June 1, 2019.

Carla Newkirk-McDowell Scholarship 

"A.B.Cs & Things” (Appliance, Books, Calculators & Things)

Established in 2019 by Carla Newkirk-McDowell (National Line Alpha-Spring 2017). Most scholarships provide financial support for the cost of tuition but rarely cover the cost of items needed to be a success in the program. This scholarship will provide students with funding for books, scientific calculators,a stethoscope, desktop, laptop etc… in order to be successful in meeting their academic coursework requirements. 

Amount: Up to $1500.00

The requirements to apply for Carla Newkirk-McDowell's Scholarship are as follows:

  • Be a High School Senior or First year Nursing/Medical Student.
  • Be able to show proof of enrollment into an accredited nursing degree program or a degree within the medical profession.
  • Be able to show proof that he/she have completed a minimum of 10 hours of community service within their community. 
  • Have a 2.5 grade point average or higher and be in good standing.
